The green seal
The five-year guarantee which applies to all Rolex models is coupled with the green seal, a symbol of its status as a Superlative Chronometer. This exclusive designation attests that the watch has successfully undergone a series of specific final controls by Rolex in its own laboratories according to its own criteria, in addition to the official COSC certification of its movement.
Rolex presentation box
Every Rolex is delivered in a beautiful green presentation box that is both protector and keeper of the jewel that nests inside it. As the presentation box is also a symbol of giving, it is important, if you are purchasing a gift, that the recipient’s first contact with their Rolex sets the stage for revealing what lies within.

La lunetta zigrinata è un tratto distintivo degli orologi Rolex. La lunetta zigrinata dell’Oyster aveva in origine una funzione: serviva ad avvitarla alla cassa, contribuendo così a garantire l’impermeabilità dell’orologio. La zigrinatura era, di conseguenza, l’esatta riproduzione di quella del fondello che, per le stesse ragioni, veniva avvitato alla cassa con degli appositi strumenti Rolex. Col tempo la zigrinatura si è trasformata in un elemento estetico, un segno distintivo di Rolex che per questo Day-Date 40 è disponibile in oro.
Slate ombré dial
La declinazione presentata, realizzata in oro Everose 18 ct, esibisce un quadrante ardesia ombré, inedito per il colore che non era mai stato utilizzato prima su questi quadranti la cui superficie, colorata al centro, passa al nero più denso sul bordo, e per i numeri romani slegati sfaccettati e gli indici sfaccettati in oro rosa 18 ct. Fino a oggi, i quadranti ombré di Rolex esibivano diamanti incastonati a mo’ di indicatori delle ore ed erano riservati al Day-Date 36. Questo quadrante s’inserisce nella continuità di un design svelato dal Marchio negli anni ’80, poi rilanciato nel 2019. La fabbricazione di questi quadranti con dégradé concentrico richiede l’applicazione di una lacca nera, un’operazione delicata controllata da un esperto e, se necessario, corretta in modo da ottenere una transizione armoniosa dal colore al tono scuro.
18 ct Everose gold
Per preservare la bellezza dei suoi orologi in oro rosa, Rolex ha creato e brevettato un’esclusiva lega in oro rosa 18 ct, prodotta nelle proprie fonderie: l’oro Everose. Lanciato nel 2005, l’oro Everose 18 ct è impiegato in tutti i modelli Oyster di Rolex in oro rosa.
