Roberto Boglietti early embarked in the jeweler career.
In the ’70s he started working at the family workshop, where he had the opportunity to watch his father and uncle engraving, chiseling, creating objects from raw material. Their ability and creativity were natural. They didn’t consider it as art: they did the same for twenty years and regard it as a job, nothing more.
Still, if we analyze the back covers they engraved, the brooches they chiseled and decorated or if we look at the stones they embedded, there’s nothing to do but consider them artists.
Young Roberto started trying to modify and customize bracelet and other jewels in the shop. Those are his first steps into the design field.
Soon he moved from manual approach toward a more designing approach. At the beginning of ‘80s, from his sketches he creates timeless rings, bracelets, necklaces.
Now, thirty years have passed, but all series are still produced: they changed a bit, sometimes in sizes, sometimes in stones or gold colors. They always anticipated and followed fashion, but never leaving tradition behind.
Therefore, as any masterpiece is evaluated also by is timelessness, we can consider Boglietti Design as a true masterpiece.
That’s his distinctive feature: jewels with a smooth touch, timeless that can be worn for a lifetime and then be passed on.
